కాకినాడని ముంచెత్తుతున్న పెట్టుబడుల వరద
ఆంధ్రదేశానికి రెండో మహా రేవుపట్టణమైన కాకినాడ పారిశ్రామికంగా శరవేగంగా పరుగులు తీస్తోంది. ప్రస్తుతం గోదావరీ ఫెర్టిలైజర్స్, నాగార్జునా ఫెర్టిలైజర్స్ లాంటి దిగ్గజాలకి నిలయమైన కాకినాడలో 2006-07 కాలంలో 12,000 కోట్ల పెట్టుబడులతో పరిశ్రమలు స్థాపించడానికి అనేక దేశీ విదేశీ సంస్థలు ఆంధ్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి అనుమతి పొందడానికి క్యూలో నిలబడుతున్నాయి.కొత్త పరిశ్రమల ఏర్పాటుతో ప్రత్యక్షంగా 15,000 మందికి పరోక్షంగా 50,000 మందికి ఉపాధి లభిస్తుంది.కాకినాడ-సామర్లకోట మధ్య ఉన్న 15 కిలోమీటర్ల రహదారి ఇప్పటికే పెక్కు పరిశ్రమలతో నిండి ఉంది. పై ప్రతిపాదనలు ఆచరణలోకి వస్తే ఈ రెండు పట్టణాలూ ఏకమై ఒకే మహానగరంగా రూపొందే అవకాశం ఉంది. 4.5 లక్షల జనాభా గల కాకినాడ నగరం ఇంతకు పూర్వమే మునిసిపల్ కార్పోరేషన్ హోదా పొంది ఉన్నది. పై పరిశ్రమలు కాక ఇంకో 600 ఎకరాలలో కాకినాడ స్పెషల్ ఇకనామిక్ జోన్ ఏర్పాటుకు కూడా కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ అనుమతి లభించింది. ఈ SEZ కాకినాడని గుంటూరుతో సమానమైన ఎగుమతి కేంద్రంగా మార్చివెయ్యగలదు.
